Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered roller bearing and a method for assembling the tapered roller bearing which can eliminate a bottom-enlarging process and a clamping process of a retainer while ensuring strength of the retainer, which can improve accuracy of the retainer, and which can avoid a skew of a roller.SOLUTION: A wide portion is formed on a side of a small diameter side annular portion of a pocket. A tapered roller is incorporated into the pocket. A small diameter side of the tapered roller is rocked to an outside diameter side until a minimum inscribed circle diameter of the tapered roller becomes larger than an outside diameter dimension of a small flange of an inner ring. The tapered roller is incorporated into a raceway surface of the inner ring through the small flange of the inner ring in this state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
