To provide a tapered roller bearing in which breakage of a connection part between a pin and an annular member, and wear of the pin can be prevented.
The tapered roller 1 and the pin-type cage 20 are formed so as to satisfy each of the following conditional expressions; 1≤Δe/(SLR/DA1D)≤3, 0.2≤EPSID/(SLR/DA1D)≤0.5, and 1.5≤SLR/XCE≤4. In the above, the length in the longitudinal direction of the tapered roller 1 from a virtual vertex V of the crowning of the tapered roller 1 to a small end face 1b is taken as SLR, the maximum value of the outside diameter of a large end face 1a of the tapered roller 1 is taken as DA1D, the gross gap in the peripheral direction of the tapered roller bearing between the inside-diameter surface 2a of a hole 2 and the pin 10 is taken as Δe, the gross gap in the axial direction of the tapered roller bearing of the large end face 1a, and the small end face 1b of the tapered roller 1 and the annular members 12a, 12b respectively is taken as EPSID, the total value of a 1st chamfering 4 and a 2nd chamfering 6 of the tapered roller 1 in the longitudinal direction of the tapered roller 1 is taken as XCE, and on the condition, 1≤SLR/DA1D.
