The taping apparatus for packaging metallic material comprises a tape sticking device for sticking the tape to a surface of a material 1 to be packaged, a tape sticking device 2 which moves to a sticking position on the surface of the material 1 and sticks the tape to the surface of the material 1, a tape sticking device pressure adjust means 3 for pressurizing the tape sticking device onto the surface of the material, and an oil film removing means 4 provided to face the surface of the material 1 immediately before a tape sticking portion of the device 2.
