Abstract:
To prevent a specific pressure from being raised locally in a contact part between the peripheral face of a tappet roller 6a and an peripheral face of a not shown cam by parts corresponding to a pair of continuous parts 18, 18 of a cylindrical face part 14 and a pair of crowning parts 15, 15 in the peripheral face of the tappet roller 6a, and ensure rolling-contact fatigue life of both the peripheral surfaces.
The cylindrical face part 14 and the pair of crowning parts 15, 15 are made sufficiently smoothly continuous by the continuation parts 18, 18.
