Title:
TAPPING SCREW WITH TIP REMOVING FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10306816
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To simply remove the tip, such as drilling part of a screw protruded from a work.

A tapping screw with a tip removing function is formed such that a drilling part is arranged at the tip of a leg part 3, and a breaking groove 16 is formed between a drilling part and the screw thread 5 of a leg part 3 formed between the drilling part and a head part 2 and formed in a V-shape in cross section having diameter smaller than the diameter of the root of a thread screw 5 such that screwing-in is effected without breakage by a fastening force during screwing-in. Even when the pointed tip of the tapping screw and a drill part are protruded from a work, the pointed part or the drill part is simply removed, and when a worker effects a work at the back thereof, injuring of a hand is reduced. Further, even when a decoration panel for finishing is mounted on the back, a work is not impeded thereby and a work time and the number of works are reduced. Further, even when electric wiring and various pipings are effected by utilizing a space, a wiring and a piping are prevented from being damaged.
