Abstract:
To provide a self-tapping screw capable of improving idling torque due to the shape of a tread.SOLUTION: A self-tapping screw comprises a head 10 and a screw shaft 20, and the screw shaft 20 has threads for fastening while forming a female screw 120 by plastic deformation in a lower hole 102a of a female screw member 102. Among the above threads, threads 2201 to 2203 provided on the head side that finally enters the female screw 120 in tightening are designed to have a diameter larger than the other threads 220 by providing a protrusion 222 on a thread base part 223, thereby increasing idling torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
