Abstract:
To provide an adsorbent capable of adsorbing tar contained in gas.
The tar adsorbent for adsorbing tar contained in gas comprises at least one selected from the group comprising alumina and silicon dioxide. The alumina is, e.g. activated alumina. Tar that can be adsorbed by the adsorbent is usually derived from at least one of unburned hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide.
