Abstract:

To provide a tar cracking method in which a catalyst layer is divided into two or more layers and the temperature of the each divided catalyst layer is well controlled within a reaction temperature range thereof, and to provide a tar cracking facility.

The tar cracking method is a method for cracking a tar component contained in gasification gas of inflammable gas by a metal-based catalyst, wherein the catalyst layer filled with the catalyst is divided into multiple layers, such as two or more layers, and a temperature of the catalyst in the each divided catalyst layer is controlled within the reaction temperature range of the catalyst.
