To provide a target sequence that relates to the diagnosis of the diseases relating to cicatrisation and/or fibrosis or the primary causes thereof.
The objective target sequence is a spliced variant of PDE5 called PDE5 a1 and one of the components can be represented by the sequence number 1 (refer to the specification). The identified target sequence according to the invention is useful in identification of the effective substances (for example, as a modulator) for prophylaxis and/or therapy of cicatrisation and/or fibrosis or in selective identification of smooth muscle cells, myofibriloblast cells and myoepithelial cells in the specimens of normal or sick tissues from the object persons. Consequently, the method and procedure for diagnosing the diseases relating to cicatrisation and/or fibrosis are provided.
