Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flavor or a taste modification component having flavor or richness characteristics.SOLUTION: There is provided the use of a compound, as a component for imparting, increasing, improving or modifying the richness or flavor of an article represented by formula (I) in the form of any one of its stereoisomer or their mixture(n denotes an integer of 0 to 2; the dotted lines denote a carbon-carbon single bond or double bond; R1 to R4 independently denote H, R5 or OR5, respectively; R5 denotes a C1 to C5 alkyl group;, according to necessary, one of the R1 to R4 groups denotes -OH; and, in the case the R1 and the R2 are made joined and/or the R3 and the R4 are joined together, being an OCH2O group, where the group being a substitutional group joined and adjacent to the phenyl group).SELECTED DRAWING: None
