Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tatami mat for funerals and festivals in which embers are reduced as much as possible while satisfactorily keeping strength of a tatami base and combustion quality.SOLUTION: A tatami mat 10 for funerals and festivals includes a tatami base 11 for being laid inside a coffin K and comprising cardboard materials having a shape capable of being installed in the inside coffin bottom of the coffin K, and a tatami surface 12 stuck together on the surface of this tatami base 11. In the cardboard materials of the tatami base 11, reinforced corrugated board materials are employed which include: thick-walled liners 15a, 15b provided on the front and back, and containing virgin pulp as a main ingredient; layered structure corrugated plates 16a,16b sandwiched between the liners 15a, 15b of two pieces of front and back; and a partition plate 17 for partitioning each layer of the corrugated plates 16a, 16b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
