Abstract:
To provide a Tatami (straw mat) sewing machine capable of cleaning the front surface of Tatami without replacing it and an advantageous installation in space.
A sewing machine for stile of Tatami 4 is composed of a tatami cleaner 25 equipped with a dust collector 27 and a suction head 26 connected with the dust collector through a hose 28. The backside of main body 1 of the sewing machine has a placing part 12 for the suction head capable of placing the suction head 26. With the Tatami 4 placed on a stand 3, cleaning of the surface 6 of Tatami 4 can be accomplished by sliding movement of the suction head 26 along the tatami surface 6.
