Abstract:

To provide a novel radioactive octreotide derivative which is glycosylated and binds to a somatostatin receptor.

An improved sst-receptor-binding peptidic ligand for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in nuclear medicine is provided. The improved ligand includes a natural or unnatural amino acid or peptidomimetic structure, a carbohydrate unit, and a chelator or a prosthetic group at either the N- or C-terminal or at both terminals to provide a complexation of a radioisotope binding or holding a radioisotope. The sst- or SSTR-receptor binding peptidic ligand may also contain one or more multifunctional linker units optionally coupling peptides, and/or a sugar moiety and/or chelator and/or prosthetic group.
