The tea strainer for the teapot has: a tea strainer-locking part for locking to a fringe peripheral of the upper opening part; a tea leaf-accommodating part formed in a semispherical shape or a bottomed cylindrical shape below the tea strainer-locking part and holding the tea leaves and poured hot water; and a hot water-discharging part formed of a metal- or resin-made net so as to have substantial the same area as the opening area of a pouring opening of the teapot and for discharging the hot water held in the tea leaf-accommodating part.
