PURPOSE: To attain interactive correspondence and learning between a person and a doll by allowing the person to input an answer corresponding to a voice message generated from the doll by a reproducing device in the doll and allowing the doll to generate a message corresponding to the answer by moving its eyes or mouth.

CONSTITUTION: When a prescribed page of a picture book is opened and a switch 1a arranged on the head part of a doll 100 is depressed, voice recorded on a tape 10 in a reproducing device 1 is reproduced. Namely a recorded signal on the tape 10 detected by a magnetic head 11b in the device 1 is inputted to a speaker 2 through a signal detector 13 and a controller 14 and a question message is outputted. When driving voltage of the speaker 2 exceeds a fixed level, a doll mouth 103 is opened/closed by a doll mouth driving device 6. When a pushbutton 3a is depressed at the completion of a message for one question and answer data are inputted, the inputted data are compared with correct answer data by a comparator 17. The discriminated result is sent to a controller 14, and when the inputted data are a correct answer, a correct answer message from the head 11a is outputted from the speaker 2 and a lamp on a display device 5 flickers.
