Title:
TEAR TAPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP03185150
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a tear tape having increased resistance to the external tearing force by forming woven strap layers having an area parallelly contacting in plane and bonded with each other with a binding yarn over a partial length and a non-bonded end part and reinforcing the contacting area with a coating agent.

CONSTITUTION: This tear tape capable of absorbing an external tensile force energy by the tearing of bound woven fabric layers with the non-bonded ends of the woven fabric layers is produced by parallelly placing two or more woven strap layers woven with a high-tenacity yarn made of polyester, polyamide, polyolefin, aramid or natural fiber, contacting the layers with each other by plane contact and binding the layers of the contacting area with one or plural binding yarns. The contacting area of the layer is reinforced by impregnating the area with a coating agent comprising a paste composed of PVC and a plasticizer or an aqueous dispersion of a polyurethane containing a plasticizer and elastically curing the coating agent.
