Abstract:
To allow an electronic system to detect its operation altitude and respond accordingly.
A technique for detecting altitude from a fan speed comprises a fan 100 having speed output 110, 112 for characterizing a rotational speed for altitude; and a converter 114 that is electrically connected to the speed output 110, 112 from the fan 100. The converter 114 receives the fan speeds 110, 112, and outputs altitude 116.
