Abstract:
To provide a telemeter which continues communication even when an arithmetic unit hangs up.SOLUTION: A telemeter 110 has: an arithmetic unit (microprocessor) 119 which is connected to a dedicated line 117 and generates a telegraphic message; a backup arithmetic unit (telegraphic message generation logic) 122 which generates a telegraphic message separately from the arithmetic unit; a switching unit (switching logic) 121 which switches to the telegraphic message generated by the backup arithmetic unit when the arithmetic unit hangs up; and a modem 115 which converts the telegraphic message from the arithmetic unit or the backup arithmetic unit to a signal to be transmitted to the dedicated line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
