Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set by which a caller is quickly grasped when a phone call is received.
SOLUTION: A telephone number service is in use to acquire the telephone number of a caller. The telephone number of the caller is detected by a signal detection circuit 30 and a number identification circuit 34 detects whether or not the telephone number detected by the signal detection circuit 30 is registered in a number storage circuit 32. When registered, a call tone mode provided corresponding to the telephone number is sent to a call tone generator 40 of a master telephone set or a call tone generator 42 of a slave set. The call tone generators 40, 42 generate a call tone of a tone color according to the sent call tone mode, A called party of the telephone set recognizes a caller based on the tone color of the call tone.
