PURPOSE: To provide a telephone set suitable for talking in a narrow space and capable of quickly handling a busy or emergency event by fitting a transmitter to either one of a cover part and a connection part and fitting a receiver to the connection part.

CONSTITUTION: The telephone set is a note type telephone set and consists of a body, a cover part 1 corresonding to the body and a connection part connecting the body part to the cover part 1 so as to optionally open the cover part 1. Numerical keys for inputting a telephone number and alphabetical characters/KANA (Japanese syllabary) character keys to be inputted to a computer built in the telephone set are arranged on the body, a transmitter 5 is fitted to either one of the body and the cover part 1 and a receiver 3 is fitted to the connection part. Since the telephone set has a note type format, includes the computer in its inside and enables a user to dial by the use of keys to be input means, a telephone number stored in the telephone set can be called and dialed by the operation of one equipment and the telephone set can be suitably used for operation in a narrow space and can quickly correspond to a busy or emergent event.
