PURPOSE: To automate entry of terminal equipment information of an electronic telephone directory by allowing a telephone terminal set to transfer the terminal equipment information of the electronic telephone directory selected by a command of an input means to other telephone terminal set and allowing the telephone terminal set to store the received terminal equipment information to the electronic telephone directory when the telephone terminal set receives the terminal equipment information sent by the other telephone terminal set.

CONSTITUTION: The system consists of a control section 20, a storage means 211 of an electronic telephone directory 10 storing a management code 111, a telephone number 113 and relevant attribute information 112 as terminal equipment information 11 for each telephone number and a telephone set terminal 1 provided with an entry means 23 to indicate a function of the telephone set terminal 1 and to select the terminal equipment information 11 of the electronic telephone directory 10. The telephone set terminal 1 transfers the terminal set information 11 selected by a command of the entry means 23 to other telephone set terminal and stores received terminal equipment information 11 to the electronic telephone directory 10 upon the receipt of the terminal equipment information 11 sent from the other telephone set terminal 1. Thus, the entry of the terminal equipment information to the electronic telephone directory is automated.
