To provide a telephone transfer system that notifies a caller number to a destination telephone terminal before transferring an incoming call when the incoming call received via a line switching network is being transferred via the line switching network.
In a telephone transfer system, a call originating terminal having a first telephone number calls a second telephone number via a line switching network. A transfer device having the second telephone number stores the first telephone number in a storage device and calls a third telephone number, which is registered as a destination, via the line switching network. The destination terminal having the third telephone number performs an authentication based on the second telephone number, and transmits an authentication information of the destination terminal to a server via a packet exchange network if the authentication is successful. The server authenticates the destination terminal based on the authentication information. If the authentication is successful, the server transmits a hypertext document corresponding to the first telephone number to the destination terminal via the packet exchange network and then the destination terminal displays the hypertext document.
