Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease the frequency of occurrence of operation noise and improve operation durability.
CONSTITUTION: When a detecting means 39 detects that a steering wheel is located in a position where a driver is out of driving, a control means 32 does not allow an operating mechanism 23 to operate and a pressure contact member 30 is maintained released from pressure contact with the outer circumferential surface of movable shaft side, resulting in decrease of the frequency of operation of the operating mechanism 23.
