Abstract:
To provide a television broadcast receiving unit, that can cope with newly provided services or new utilization styles.
An external memory cell mounted with a flash memory is connected to a receiver 3 via an external memory interface 45 comprising a connector and an interface circuit. A program for functional addition or the like is stored in the external memory cell 100, and information stored in the external memory cell 100 is captured into the receiver 3 via the external memory interface 45. The information captured from the external memory cell 100 is processed in a control section 30 and then utilized.
