To provide a television convenient to use, a control device, and a control method.
The control device is used to control a television and includes a touch module for detecting whether a start operation has been sensed or not and generating a start instruction and a transmission unit for transmitting the start instruction to the television. The television displays a menu on a screen in response to the start instruction. The menu contains a plurality of soft keys corresponding to a plurality of keys of the control device. Positions on the menu are associated with positions on the touch module. The touch module is used to further detect whether a selecting operation has been sensed or not and, if detecting a selecting operation, generates position information of the selecting operation. The position information is transmitted to the television by the transmission unit, whereby the television is controlled so that a soft key located in the position associated with the position information on the screen is selected.
