To provide a television game device which securely informs a user of an incoming call when it arrives while the user plays the game.

The television game device is provided with a CD-ROM I/F part 102, a setting RAM I/F part 103, a controller I/F part 104, an AV I/F part 105, and a public telephone line I/F part 106. The respective I/F parts are controlled by a control part 101. The control part 101 has a CPU (not illustrated) performing prescribed control and processing in accordance with a control program stored in a ROM (not illustrated). When an incoming call from a public telephone line 406 (shown in a drawing 1) through the public telephone line I/F part 106 while the user plays the game, an incoming call notice processing for generating incoming call notice information for informing the user of the incoming call and outputting it to a monitor 403 (shown in the drawing 1) through the AV I/F part 105 is performed.
