The light emitting component includes: a first surface facing the circuit board; a second surface positioned at the opposite side of the first surface; a third surface lying astride the first surface and the second surface; and an electrode having a first portion, on which a light emitting part is placed, and a second portion exposed on the first surface and electrically connected with the pad; and a light transmissive sealing part covering the light emitting part and including a portion which is exposed on the third surface and covers the second portion of the electrode from the exterior side.
