To reduce damage due to a fire from the inside of a television receiver, etc., by cutting a power supply circuit before the television receiver is destroyed when it is detached from a mounting stand, etc., due to some external force and a shock to bring destruction is given to it.

A relay switch 2 to supply and interrupt power to the power supply circuit 3 by being controlled in a connected state or in a cut-off state is inserted between a power plug 1 and the power supply circuit 3. The television receiver is further provided with a rechargeable power source 10 to supply operating power, a main power switch 5 to control the relay switch 2 in the connected state or in the cut-off state depending on the input and a detecting circuit 6 to be operated by receiving power supply from the rechargeable power source 10 and to control the relay switch 2 in the cut-off state when drop and inclination of a casing is detected.
