Abstract:
To enable image data of a removal memory device to be easily downloaded to another memory.
A module having two slots 14 and 16 for external memories 15 and 17 is provided to a television receiver. The first slot 14 is used for the removal memory device. The second slot 17 is used for a backup memory of the removal memory device, and PCMCIA standard type II is adopted. A micro hard disk device or the like is used as the backup memory. Image data read from the removal memory device is transferred and downloaded to the backup memory. This download processing makes the removal memory device usable again. The download processing is easy since the processing is realized by remote control operation utilizing a television screen.
