Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce deterioration in picture quality due to a cross-color fault by detecting a luminance signal component mixed in a chrominance signal side accidentally, and lowering the level of a chrominance signal to be outputted when the signal component is detected. CONSTITUTION:An amplitude control circuit 5 performs the multiplication C1XR3 of the chrominance signal (C signal) C1 inputted to a terminal 26 and a signal R3 inputted to a terminal 27 by a multiplier 28, and outputs a result from a terminal 29. The amplitude of the C signal C1 can be controlled by the signal R3 by performing such multiplication C1XR3. The C signal can be obtained from a terminal 30 after controlling the amplitude of the C signal C1 in such way. Also, the luminance signal (Y signal) component Y0 outputted from a Y/C separation circuit 10 can be obtained from a terminal 32 after being phase-adjusted at a phase adjusting circuit 31 by the computing time of adders 13 and 14, a comparator 17, and the amplitude control circuit 25. By performing such operation, the amplitude of the C signal component to be outputted can be lowered when the Y signal component mixed in the chrominance signal side accidentally is detected and the signal component is detected.
