To provide a television telephone in which mistake telephone and troublesome call can be dealt with.
Upon receiving a television telephone call, the television telephone collates the user URI and IP address delivered from a calling telephone with the content of an address management section 104 in its own terminal and permits transmission of a video image from its own terminal only when they match each other. When the delivered user URI does not match the content of the address management section 104 or when associated IP addresses do not match each other even if the user URI matches the content of the address management section 104, a video image photographed by the camera of its own terminal is not transmitted but a received video signal is sent back.
