PURPOSE: To provide a TEM waveguide device in which a pipe-like electric resistance and a long high harmonic wave absorber is spaced from the resistance by a specific distance, and which can be adapted for an energy output higher than a specific value.
CONSTITUTION: A device 10 is composed of a pyramid-like metal external conductor 1, a plate-like bulkhead or an internal conductor 4, a power feed conical body 2 and a high frequency long peak absorber 6, and a high frequency short peak absorber 7. The external conductor 1 is grounded, and the bulkhead or the internal conductor 4 is asymmetrically suspended by a yarn which is not shown, and is grounded to a rear wall 5 through a pipe-like resistance 8 on the edge part side, and is adapted to an energy output of higher than 1 KW. Further, a high frequency peak absorber 7 is adjacent to the lateral side of the pipe-like resistance 8, having a minimum space in a range of 0.5mm to 1cm. A coaxial cable 3 supplies a pulse-like or a sinusoidal high frequency energy HF to the power feed conical body 2 which produce a transverse electromagnetic wave, that is, the so-called TEM wave which is inputted to the device 10.
