Abstract:
To provide a temper mill which is excellent in the wear resistance of a work roll and also with which a metal strip having fine surface properties is manufacturable by preventing the generation of dull powder.
The temper mill with which an annealed metal strip is temper-rolled at the elongation percentage of 0.4-1.0% by using work rolls, includes the work rolls in which the surface roughness is 2.0-8.0 mRa, the diameter is 200-400 mm and the material is Sialon ceramic or zirconia ceramic.
