To solve a problem wherein a correct measuring value is not obtained when a measuring temperature is not calibrated in the case where the measuring temperature is not an actual temperature, a problem wherein an expense and a time are required because highly precise calibration has to be executed in production to realize highly precise temperature control ability, and further a problem wherein the execution of the calibration by a user is substantially difficult although the calibration is required to be executed from time to time when the high temperature precision is desired to be maintained.
In this device having a temperature control function and capable of measuring a light transmission amount of a sample or a scattered light quantity thereof, a temperature display value of the device is calibrated, based on a melting point found in the device based on a light transmittance or a scattered rate of the sample, and based on a melting point of the sample preliminarily found.
