Title:
TEMPERATURE COMPENSATING CIRCUIT FOR ELECTRONIC WATCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5576978
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately adjust the frequency of an electronic watch regardless of the period of detected temperature by a temperature compensating circuit by providing a frequency divider between a circuit for producing a pulse signal in response to a temperature detection signal and an arithmetic circuit for adding or subtracting the standard signal by frequency correction signal.

CONSTITUTION: When a temperature detector 8 detects, for example, temperature at every one minute, a pulse signal output circuit 12 generates pulse signals of the number required for correcting the temperature characteristics of a crystal oscillator 2. The pulse signals are then divided by a third frequency divider 14, and applied to an arithmetic circuit 4. The arithmetic circuit 4 adds or subtracts the standard wime signal by frequency correction signal or both adds and subtracts them to thereby correct the standard signal. The corrected signal is divided by a frequency divider 6 to thus become counting signal of 1Hz.
