PURPOSE: To easily perform temperature compensation of an electronic device, by logarithmically compressing the period of an oscillation signal of a CR oscillation circuit, obtaining a numeral almost inversely proportional to the ambient temperature, taking this numeral as an address input of an ROM and obtaining a temperature compensation data corresponding to the ambient temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A CR oscillation circuit 1 includes a thermister as a time consstant resistor and its oscillating frequency is changed with change in the ambient temperature. A logarithmic period measuring circuit 2 measures pulse intervals having a prescribed period changed depending on the temperature, the logarithmic number is taken and the result is outputted as a numerical data. This data is used as an address input of an ROM3, the address of the ROM3 is changed depending on the temperature change and numerical data D(T) is outputted depending on the temperature. The data D(T) is transferred to an adjusting circuit and the temperature compensation suitable for the purpose can be attained.
