PURPOSE: To make it possible to correct automatically a time error by detecting a temperature, by reading the time error occurring at the temperature from a memory stored previously with the error, and then by temporarily storing it to correct driving pulses of a watch at intervals of constant time.
CONSTITUTION: The ambient temperature detected by temperature detecting element 12 is converted 16 into a binary digital signal and an error due to the temperature variation is sent out from memory 18. At the time set to detection time counter 20, pulses from dividing circuit 4 are counted by error A counter 26 and this counting operation is continued until its count value agrees with the output of memory 18. When the error reaches one second, error A counter 26 generates a carry signal and error B counter 30 counts this signal. At the time for time correction, ths output of correction time counter 32 is held at "H" and the hand is rapidly traversed by a rapid traverse signal by the number of error B counter 30.
