Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the temperature compensating device for the APD optical receiver which is able to perform a linear compensation through a data look-up for compensating a decrease of a gain that corresponds to a temperature change of the APD.
SOLUTION: In the temperature compensating device for the APD optical receiver which comprises the APD: a thermistor to sense the temperature change of the APD and a voltage generating part to generate an output voltage for a bias of the APD; a control means 402 which controls(52) so that the means connected to the thermistor receives a first resistor value from the thermistor (51), determines a temperature data of the APD by using the first resistor value (53), determines an output voltage data according to the temperature data of the APD (54) and determines a second resistor value data to generate the output voltage according to the output voltage data(55); and a resistive means 401 which provides the second resistor value according to the second resistor value data to an input terminal of the voltage generating part are included.
