Abstract:
To suppress corrosion of inside of an EGR cooler caused by condensation water.SOLUTION: A temperature control device for a water-cooling EGR cooler 6 provided in an internal combustion engine 1 includes: a heater 24 for heating the EGR cooler; a water amount sensor 26 for detecting water amount of condensation water accumulated in the EGR cooler; a valve 23 for controlling a flow rate of cooling water in the EGR cooler; and a control unit 100 configured to control the heater and the valve. The control unit operates the heater when the water amount detected by the water amount sensor exceeds predetermined amount, calculates reduction speed of the water amount on the basis of a detection value obtained by the water amount sensor during operation of the heater, and reduces an opening of the valve to reduce the flow rate of the cooling water in the EGR cooler when the reduction speed is less than a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
