Abstract:

To provide a temperature control method for a multistage heating roll furnace wherein a plate temperature is stabilized in a short time of period when changing a material size or a line speed of a metal strip.

When changing the material size of the metal strip or the line speed of the multistage heating roll furnace, a temperature correction value ΔTx wherein a speed change amount, a plate cross section change amount and an individual roll position are considered is temporarily added to a temperature set value of an individual roll 2 to reduce a stabilization time of the plate temperature. The temperature correction value ΔTx of the individual roll 2 is calculated by equation: ΔTx=[(Vf.α+Af.β)×Nf×x]×γ, wherein Vf is a temperature correction value accompanying the speed change amount; Af is temperature correction value accompanying the plate cross section change amount; Nf is a temperature coefficient according to a roll arrangement position; and γ is a furnace temperature correction coefficient.
