Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain control completely and definitely even if a power control element would be inductive, by driving the power control element by a current flowing through SCR triggered by a charge current through a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:A temperature controller, used for an electric blanket, etc., consists of power plug 1, power switch 8, temperature fuse 14, power noise filter part 15, control power supply Vcc generating part 19, temperature setting circuit 26, temperature detection circuit 29, control circuit 41, SCR47, charge-discharge circuit 90 for capacitor C96, transformer relay 69, heater wire 48, etc. At eleven pins of circuit 41, an output appears at the zero-cross point of an alternating-current voltage to turn ON-OFF transistor Tr95 of circuit 90 as a trigger circuit for SCR47 for charge and discharge of C96, but triggering SCR47 by the charge-discharge current allows a power control element to elongate the differential current of C96 by a time equivalent to its arc-extinguishing angle even if electromagnetic relay 69, etc., would be inductive, so that full-wave triggering will be possible definitely.
