To provide a temperature detecting element which is conducted by being exposed to a target temperature such as an abnormal high temperature or the like, in which temperature detection can be carried out, which is attached even in a detecting object having various shapes since this is thin and superior in flexibility, and has superior operation reliability.
The temperature detecting element 10 includes a first electrode 1 in which it has spring properties and it is lengthy, a second electrode 2 in which it has the spring properties and it is lengthy and which is adjacently arranged against the first electrode, and a spacer 3 composed of an insulating material and arranged so that the first electrode and the second electrode energized in one direction are insulated. The first electrode and the second electrode have both a stranded wire structure, and insulation between the first electrode and the second electrode is released by being exposed to a prescribed temperature. By that, the prescribed temperature is detected by means that the first electrode and the second electrode are contacted and conducted.
