Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a temperature detector for a fixing device which always operates in safety. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detector S for a fixing device comprises a thermosensitive element 1, an elastic support member 2 for supporting the thermosensitive element 1, a heat conductive metal foil sandwiched therebetween and a protective sheet 5 which contacts the surface of a heating body for fixing turning covering them. A heat resistant flexible insulation film 14 is inserted between leads 11 and the metal foil to prevent shortcircuiting between the leads 11 of the thermosensitive element 1. The adhesive layer side of a protective sheet sliding between the thermosensitive element 1 and the side of a heating ody is stuck on an adhesive surface of the heat resistant insulating film 14 to insulate and the leads 11 are fixed on the protective sheet 5.
