Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a temperature detector of a fixing device which always operate in safety. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detector S comprises a thermosensitive element 1, an elastic support member 2 supporting the thermosensitive element 1, a heat conducting metal foil 6 sandwiched therebetween and a protective sheet 5 which contacts the surface of a heating body for fixing turning covering them. A heat resistant resin 14 is applied at a part which approximates two lead wires 11 of the metal foil 6 to prevent shortcircuiting between the two lead wires 11 connected to the thermosensitive element 1 and the metal foil. At least either one of the lead wires 11 is covered with a heat resistant insulating tube 16 to insulate it. Moreover, a heat resistant insulating film 15 is inserted between the lead wires 11 and the metal foil to realize a possible insulation.
