Abstract:
To more accurately estimate a brake temperature of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A brake device imparts brake force to a vehicle by pressing a friction material to a rotor integrally rotating with a wheel. A temperature estimation device is applied to the brake device so as to estimate a rotor temperature. Specifically, during braking of the vehicle, the temperature estimation device calculates an energy absorption amount absorbed by the rotor on the basis of a kinetic energy amount that the vehicle has lost and a potential energy amount that the vehicle has lost. Then, the temperature estimation device estimates the rotor temperature on the basis of the energy absorption amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
