To provide a temperature indicator, facilitating conduction the heat of the object to be tested, to the temperature reaction member and precisely detecting the temperature of the object.

The temperature indicator 1 comprises a case 2 mounted on the object; a temperature-responsive member 10 of which an end is mounted in the case 2, and shrinking or expanding, in response to temperature changes; a movable member 9 mounted at the other end of the temperature-responsive member 10, and displacing in the axial direction of the case 2, in response to shrink or expansion of the temperature reaction member 10; a low-temperature indicator 11 mounted on one end of the movable member 9; projecting from the case 2, when the temperature of the object is at a prespecified temperature or lower; a high-temperature indicator 13 mounted at the other end of the movable member 9, projecting from the case 2, when the temperature of the object is at the prescribed temperature or higher, wherein a housing chamber 19 inside the case 2 for accommodating the reaction member 10 is formed in an enclosed space and a gas having thermal conductivity higher than that of air is encapsulated in the enclosed space.
