Abstract:
To provide a temperature measuring device and a measurement method therefor with which it is possible to improve the accuracy of measuring the temperature in a fluid while maintaining multipoint measurability.SOLUTION: Provided is a temperature measuring device 1 capable of measuring a fluid temperature and comprising an optical fiber 10 having a temperature sensitive part 10a and a supported part 10b which is formed at both ends of the temperature sensitive part 10a, a light source 2 for outputting light, and processing means 4 for processing reflected light generated in the temperature sensitive part 10a. The temperature sensitive part 10a is arranged in a fluid having velocity, and the optical fiber 10 has a metal coating 14 for changing the natural frequency fi of the optical fiber 10 on the surface of the temperature sensitive part 10a, with the film thickness of the metal coating 14 set in such a way that the natural frequency fi of the optical fiber 10 is out of a frequency band A of a Karman vortex generated from the temperature sensitive part 10a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
