PURPOSE: To manufacture a rodlike temperature sensor simply and furthermore to adjust it as well.

CONSTITUTION: A rodlike temperature sensor 1 has a smooth joining section 4 for a rodlike component 3 regardable also as an inside bar, in the vicinity of a sliding guiding section 17 for a cylindrical component regardable also as an outside tube 2 being a rodlike component. The joining section 4 is adjusted against the tension of a spring 39 to a given amount of adjustment 30 by using a measuring screw 36, before inserting the inside rodlike component 3, and before joining the temperature sensor 1 to a switching base 10 structurally as well. The joining section 4 is connected surely to the outside rodlike component 2 by a welding device 40 and the like. Consequently, it becomes possible to perform very accurate adjustment in spite of the simple structure.
