Title:
TEMPERATURE SENSOR FOR MICROWAVE OVEN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08233663
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To ensure high accuracy and response by providing a metal housing comprising a sleeve having first and second open end parts, a metal plate closing the open end part of sleeve, and a sensor element secured to touch the metal plate thermally.

The temperature sensor comprises a metal housing 52 of threaded annular sleeve having a central passage 54, and a top plate 56 soldered to the first end part of housing 52 so that one end part of the passage 54 is closed. The plate 56 is made of a thin plate of beryllium copper and a temperature dependent resistance sensor element 58 is bonded to the plate 56 by an adhesive 59. The element 58 includes a lead wire 60 to be connected with an insulated signal transmission cable 62 while penetrating a metal bottom cover 64. The cable 62 has a shield for preventing noise from being introduced to a signal generated from the element 58, and an insulator withstanding against high temperature. The passage 54 is filled with an epoxy bond 66 having low thermal conductivity.
