Title:
TEMPERATURE SWITCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3948772
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To break large current when outside air reaches specified temperature by combining a thin metal plate, which is engaged with an insulative main body case having hollow portion inside and a temperature sensitive body granting bias force, and a plate spring member.
SOLUTION: A temperature switch is contained in an insulative resin-made box body-like main body case 10. A thin copper plate 11 is folded into U-shaped cross sections 11a, 11b, 11c, the straight line portion 11a of the thin copper plate 11 is sandwiched in a gap portion 12d of the main body case 10, and is protruded outward as a lead terminal. The other end 11c is folded along the side wall 10b of a box body, and the end portion is exposed in the hollow portion 12b so as to form one part of a contact. The plate spring-like member 13 is held in such a state as its base portion 13b is fixed to a gap portion 12e and as its tip portion 13c grants no bias force. A locking portion which brings the tip portion 13c of the plate spring member 13 into contact with the copper thin plate 11c is composed of a temperature sensitive body 17 which is low temperature solder fusing in temperatures from 70°C to 100°C, a metal pin 15, an insulation head, and the like.
